Today we're going to take a look at the trailer idler hub assembly for 2,500 pound axles, has the 5 on 4 and 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and this for a quantity of 2. Now these trailer hub assemblies are designed to fit idler axles, comes with everything that's shown here, comes with the idler hubs, the inner and outer bearings, the bearing races, which are pre-installed, the greased seals, the EZ Lube grease caps, and the lug nuts are all included. Now these hubs are sturdy steel construction. The specs on this, they're designed to fit 2 2,500 pound trailer axles. The bolt pattern on them is 5 on 4 and 1/2 inches. Wheel stud size is 1/2 inch, and the weight capacity is 1,250 pounds per hub, so when one of these is used on each side of your axle, it'll meet the 2,500 pound axle capacity. more

Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak 10-inch ecote hub and rotor assembly, 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern, and 3,500 pound weight capacity. This single-piece assembly will make installation a snap, whether you're retrofitting or switching from drum brakes. It has a nice machine process that will minimize runout and warping, and what's nice on a one-piece unit, the contaminants can't get in between the rotor and hub when you have a one-piece hub and rotor assembly. This is a balanced unit. It provides a nice, smooth ride. Also, if you notice right in here you can see it is a vented design and the vents will help dissipate the heat, which will prevent heat-related damages. It comes with half-inch wheel studs and the industry standard bearing racents are pre-installed. more

Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak stainless steel five on four and a half inch trailer hub for thirty-five hundred pound axles. Now, this is a rust-proof stainless steel hub, which is ideal for extended marine use. This marine-grade trailer hub assembly can be used on an idler 00:00:15 axle, or it can be paired with a ten-inch slip-on rotor for this brake 00:00:18 applications. It is a stainless steel construction, which is very durable, rust-proof, and low-maintenance. Again, it's ideal for use on a boat or a snowmobile trailer, and it is great for saltwater applications. The wheel studs right here are long enough to accommodate an over-the-hub brake rotor, or a custom wheel that has a thick mounting face. Now, the bearing races are pre-installed. Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak 13" Hub and Rotor 8 on 6-12" pattern. It has an e-coat finish. 1/2" bolt size and a 7,000 pound weight capacity. Now this is a single piece assembly, makes installation a snap, whether you're retrofitting or switching from drum brakes. It has a machine process which will minimize runout and warping. Today, we're going to take a look at the Titan 5 on 5 1/2" Hub and Drum for hydraulic drum brakes. This is an 8 1/2" diameter Hub and Drum assembly, features the 5 on 5 1/2" bolt pattern. This hub and drum assembly will include the wheel studs and the bearing races which are pre-installed. The outer bearing race and the inner bearing race is all pressed in. It does require inner and outer bearings, a grease seal and a grease cap which we do sell separately on our website. They are usually listed on this product page as a "Related Product." This is a hydraulic drum brake application. Just to give you a few measurements on this, when we say 8 1/2", what that is, is the inside diameter, so there's your 8 1/2". more

A 9/16 inch diameter wheel stud is available as part number AKHD-965-7-1-K. All right, here's what our new hub looks like. As you can see it's a brand new hub assembly. We have our braces already pressed into the hub, we have a nice brand new surface material here for our magnet to grab on to for our brakes to actuate. more

We're going to have brand new races inside of here. We got a brand new area here where our magnet's going to ride, so we're going to have superior contact and a completely new braking surface, so we know when our brake's engaged, they're going to do the job they're intended to do. Now this is a pre-greased idler hub assembly, which is designed to fit EZ Lube idler axles. If you notice it has the rubber plug on the front and on the back. The reason that is is because they've already pre-greased the bearings, installed them in the bearing races, and actually installed the grease seal in the back. It's pretty much all ready to go. It's very easy to install. more

It does include this EZ Lube compatible grease cap which will make lubricating your bearings very fast and easy. It would be attached like that and all you would have to do to access the EZ Lube fitting is pop out the rubber plug and then your zirque fitting would be right there on the end of the spindle. You can connect your grease gun to that and put grease in there and grease the bearings without having to remove the complete assembly from the axle. It also includes the bearing races which are pre-installed in the hub- you can see the outer bearing race right there, and if we spin it around there's your inner bearing race already installed. more

It comes with the bearing races which are already pre-installed, the outer bearing race right here is installed, and the inner bearing race you can see is installed right in here. It comes with the inner bearing, it comes with the outer bearing, the grease seal, the grease cap, and then the five lug nuts. Now this idler hub assembly has a nice galvanized finish on it, and that's for corrosion resistant. more

On this trailer idler hub assembly we'll include everything shown here. It includes the bearing races which are already pre-installed in the hub itself. It includes the inner and outer bearings, it includes the grease seal, the grease cap and the lug nuts and again the application for this is for 3,500 pound axles and again the bolt pattern is a five on four and half inch bolt pattern. Now the inner bearing that's included, that has an inner diameter of 1.378 inches and that's designed to go in the back or the inner portion. The outer bearing which is this one right here has a 1.063 inner diameter and again, that's designed to go in the bearing raised to the front right here. Now the grease seal has an overall diameter of 2.565 and the seal is designed to go in there once you get your bearing in there. more

Kodiak Trailer Hubs and Drums - Hub with Integrated Rotor - KHR12D Review- Video
Today we're going to review part number KHR12D. This is the Kodiak twelve inch hub and rotor assembly with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. It has a Dacromet finish and it's designed to fit fifty-two hundred pound and six thousand pound axles. This single piece assembly makes installation a snap, whether you're retrofitting or switching from drum brakes, the machine process on it minimizes run out and warping. It is a balanced unit between the hub and the rotor so this will provide a smooth ride. It does have the vented design and this will effectively dissipate the heat and prevents any heat related damage. more

Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly Installation- Video
Today we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Dexter Axle EZ Lube Trailer Hub Assembly. This has the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern and it works great for 5,200 pound and 6,000 pound axles. Part number is 8-201-9CU3-EZ. Now, on the rear axle we've left everything just as the trailer rolled in, so now we'll go ahead and show you how to install it. First things first, we're going to remove the knock off cap that goes on the end. This is essentially a grease cap. There's a rubber cap here that allows us to get into our greaser we just want to get this out of the way using a rubber mallet. more

Titan Trailer Hubs and Drums - Hub with Integrated Drum - T1870000042 Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at part number T1870000042. This is the Titan 6 on 5 1/2 complete hub and drum assembly for hydraulic brake applications. The 6 on 5 1/2 is just the bolt pattern that we have, so that's going to mean that we have 6 pressed-in bolts. Separation, center on center, going across is going to measure 5 1/2 inches. This assembly is going to include your inner and outer bearings, that's going to be these right here. It's going to include the inner and outer races those are already installed. You're going to get the grease seal, the grease cap, and you're going to get the lug nuts. Now when it comes to the drum dimensions of this unit, we need to flip it around and take a look at the inner portion. more

This hub has the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. Again, the application on this is 5,200 lb to 7,000 lb Dexter Axles with spindles that do require a 2 1/4" inside diameter grease seal.
